KeynoteSpeaker:
Bill Young
Bill grew up a Presbyterian in Mississippi. While he was working as an electrical engineer God called him to seminary and to the gospel ministry. All through his time as a pastor, both in an older congregation and as a new church development pastor for 10 years, he and Judi felt called to serve cross-culturally. From 1989-1998 they served as Presbyterian missionaries. They spent a year at the Fuller School of World Mission, where Bill earned a ThM degree in Missiology. Their next assignment was in Ghana at a lay training center, in a part of the country with many unreached people groups. Bill served for seven years as the Coordinator for International Evangelism for the PC(USA). In April of 2005 Bill came to Presbyterian Frontier Fellowship as the Executive Director. In Bill’s current work with PFF, he spends part of his time directing and providing vision for PFF and its staff, equipping and enabling them to spread the frontier mission vision and help churches engage in it. He also serves as the focal point in keeping frontier mission a priority within the PC(USA) mission structures. At the same time Bill connects with churches in much the same way as the other staff, albeit on a smaller scale. In the International Evangelism office Bill supervised the frontier mission program of the PC(USA), so he has a good overview of the whole program. Bill and Judi have three married children and eight grandchildren.
